The App is the official smart assistant for POSTEK barcode printers and label printers. It is designed to support account registration, device connection, printer status monitoring, troubleshooting guidance, tutorials, and technical support.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information only as needed to provide and improve the App. Depending on the features you use, we may collect the following categories of information:
2.1 Account Information
When you register for or log in to a POSTEK account, we may collect:
- Your email address
- A system-generated user ID, account ID, or other account identifier
- Account status, registration time, login status, and other information needed to manage your account
We use your email address to send verification codes required for account registration, login, account deletion verification, or account security. We do not send marketing emails, promotional emails, or emails unrelated to verification codes unless you separately provide your explicit consent.
Account registration and smart assistant services in the App are provided free of charge to users.
2.2 Printer and Device Information
To provide device connection, status monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical support, we may collect or process:
- POSTEK printer model, device identifier, and connection status
- Printer status, error codes, fault messages, and printing parameter information
- Information related to print speed, darkness, media, consumables, or troubleshooting
- Records related to App-printer connection, pairing, communication, or print tasks
- Fault logs, diagnostic logs, or support logs that you choose to submit or agree to share
2.3 Usage Data and Diagnostic Data
When you use the App, we may automatically collect certain usage and diagnostic data, such as:
- Device model, operating system version, and App version
- IP address and network connection information
- App crash logs, performance data, and error logs
- Feature usage, operation records, or service request records
2.4 Permission-Related Information
When you use certain features, the App may request access to device permissions such as Bluetooth, NFC, camera, photos, files, or notifications. We access these permissions only when required by the feature and after you authorize the relevant permission.
If related data is processed only locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers or our service providers' servers, we do not treat that data as collected by us.
2.5 Customer Support Information
When you contact us or submit a technical support request, we may collect contact information you provide, problem descriptions, screenshots, logs, support materials, and information related to your communication with technical support.
3. How We Use Your Information and Legal Bases
We may use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your POSTEK account
- To send registration, login, account deletion, or account security verification codes to your email address

- To provide, maintain, and improve App features
- To connect and manage POSTEK printers

- To analyze and improve App stability, performance, and service quality

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other regions that require a legal basis for processing, we rely on the following legal bases where applicable:
- Contract necessity: to create and manage your account, provide the App, connect devices, deliver smart assistant features, and provide requested support.
- Legitimate interests: to maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, improve reliability, and protect our rights and users, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent: to access device permissions such as Bluetooth, NFC, camera, photos, files, or notifications, and to process optional logs or support materials that you choose to submit.

We do not use your email address for advertising or marketing emails. We do not sell your personal information.
4. No Tracking, Advertising, or Sale of Personal Information
We do not use the personal information collected through the App to track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising or data broker purposes.

If App Store privacy labels apply, the data types declared in App Store Connect should match the information described in this Privacy Policy, including email address, user ID, device identifier, IP address, diagnostics, usage data, and support logs where applicable. If the App does not track users, the App Store privacy label should remain consistent with "Data Not Used to Track You."
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
- Account information is generally retained while your account remains active.
- Verification codes expire after a short period. Email delivery and security logs related to verification may be retained for up to 90 days unless a longer period is required for security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
- Fault logs, diagnostic logs, crash logs, and support records are generally retained for up to 24 months after the relevant issue is resolved, unless a longer period is needed for security, product improvement, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
- Backup copies may remain for a limited backup cycle after deletion before being overwritten or securely deleted.
- When you delete your account or request deletion of personal information, we will delete or de-identify the relevant information unless retention is required or permitted by law.
7. Account Deletion and Your Rights
If you create an account in the App, you can delete your account from inside the App through the account or account information page and the Delete Account function. The App may ask you to verify your email address or enter a verification code before deletion to protect account security.
You may also contact us using the privacy contact information below if you cannot access your account or need help with deletion.
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, withdraw consent, request portability, appeal a denied privacy request, or contact us about your privacy choices.
8. International Transfers
Because POSTEK operates through companies and service providers in multiple regions, your information may be processed in the United States, China, or other regions where we, our affiliates, or our service providers operate. Data protection laws may vary by region.
Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, data protection agreements, user consent, security measures, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

We value the security of your personal information and use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or loss. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. After verification, we will take reasonable steps to delete the relevant information.
